Oooh. Oooh. Oooh. Awesome song alert! Amanda Palmer is my new favourite person ever.

Being totally ignorant, I have ignored Dresden Dolls entirely, but this solo stuff is really working for me. All that indie-cred and grrrrrrrrlyness (which I univerally love but have never been cool enough to carry off) is tempered by the fact that Ben Folds produced the record and thus the whole thing is dorky enough for me to love.

I chose this video over the current single “Leeds United” (which is also TEH ORSUM) because:

a) Music Video representations of abortion are rare and should be noted when they come around. Particularly ones as sensitively handled as this.

b) It has the best punchline I’ve ever seen - and literally made me do one of those sudden “Ha!” guffaws that can be so embarrasing when you’re in the office. (WHICH I’M NOT, SO SUCK IT.)
