A moment of your time, if you please

As some of you may know, my Dad has a shadowy alter-ego known as Saunders of Bungay who writes to Terry Wogan every week. These letters are read out by Wogan on his Radio 2 show on a depressingly regular basis. This arrangement has been going on for years.

As a regular contributor to the show, my Dad was recently invited to participate in an album for Children In Need called “Bandaged” (Do you see what they did there?) This email is my flimsy attempt at getting you to maybe thinking about buying a copy.

There are tracks by Wogan himself, Aled Jones, Steve Wright, that bird who does the traffic and any number of grade F celebrities. Mostly though, you’ll be overjoyed to hear the dulcet tones of my father singing a song called “Susanne Is A Funniful Man” that, believe it or not, he used to sing to my sister and I when we were kids.

You’ll like it.

Well, actually, you probably won’t like it. But you’ll be doing a good thing for charity. Plus, as a bonus, you’ll be helping to heap humiliation on my shoulders. Its bad enough listening to Wogan every morning without having to worry that your Father’s semi-coherent ramblings are going to be broadcast to the nation. And they are. Regularly.

You can find out more and PREORDER the album here:
http://www.bandaged.org.uk/

All profits from the CD will be going to Children In Need and it looks like the CD might make a fitting present for any children or elderly/retarded family members. (I know the website looks like shit, but they’ve raised literally millions for C.I.N in the past, and they’re good people. I can personally vouch for them.)

Anyway, nagging over with. Please return to your business.
