Manchester skyline time-lapse from MDDA on Vimeo.
@kate_butler hepped me to this lovely video that the good people at MDDA made (as far as I can tell) as some kind of test of some new equipment they’ve got. It confirms to me that Good Art is as often as not as accidental and serendipitous as it is meditated and deliberate.
I’ve often felt that Manchester crouches at the foot of the Pennines, its buildings huddled together for warmth as the Atlantic Ocean throws weather at it - see how that fog bank seems to smash itself against the city? This video demonstrates the stubborn tenacity that the city has - and which presumably rubs off on its native.
Anyway, that’s where I live, that is.
